Congratulations, Carmen!!! I'm so grateful for the happy outcome after a tough week in the hospital. Welcome Julius, I know you will be surrounded by so much love, laughter, and fun adventures by those around you 🩷 cheers, friends!
I’m so glad that they caught the HELLP syndrome and that you and Julius are fine. Your story reminded me of my own and so many ways they were similar. Congratulations to both you and Nick. 🥰🫶🏼 With lots of love and warmth from my heart to yours.
Congratulations Carmen! I can’t thank you enough for sharing this with ALL of us (and not just the ones who pay). For me, I am older now (36) and am just now wrapping my mind around having A child. So any positive experiences are helpful to hear. I’m curious about a few things… do you wish you had gotten the epidural sooner? And why were you so against c section? (like many women are) as a person who has undergone a few surgeries in my life I sometimes feel opting to skip labor all together and go straight to planned c section would relieve my mind of a lot of the anxieties I feel around giving birth. Just like to get other opinions! 💙💙💙
I would probably get the epidural sooner next time around. I am somewhat grateful I got to experience a decent amount of my labor unmedicated just to know what that's like. I preferred not to have a c section for quicker recovery. Hope that helps :)
Thanks for sharing your experience, Carmen. It’s ok if you don’t want to share, but did you have any perineal tear while giving birth? Currently 28 weeks and the tear probably scares me the most.

Yes, I had third degree tearing but oddly had no pain after. I didn’t even know it was that bad until read my hospital report
Congrats! So glad to hear you are feeling better. Your baby is beautiful! How are your dogs handling this beautiful change of life?
They’re doing well, a lot better than I thought they would actually! They mostly keep their distance.
